Northwest Early Learning Hub in partnership with diverse stakeholders in Clatsop, Columbia, and Tillamook counties have begun a comprehensive regional preschool planning project supported by the Meyer Memorial Grant.
Goals for 2019:
1- Meet with each community three times this year and collaborate on
a. Understanding the unique issues and needs related to childcare and preschool in each county
b. Strategize potential solutions to address above identified issues and needs.
c. Identify what community leaders are willing to do collectively to address the needs and issues
in their county.
2- Identify 20 more additional slots for preschool students in the 2019/2020 school year.
3- Support trainings for early childhood educators and early grade teachers in:
a. Dual Language Instruction
b. Inclusive Classrooms
4- Develop a five-year road map for preschool expansion.

What can you do now?
1- If you are a parent, preschool or childcare provider, and/or an employer please take our online survey. The survey will run from April 5th – June 30th, 2019.
a. The survey should take less than 10 minutes.
